Did you know about Flirting fatigue?
Me neither!
It's what happens after dating for a while, and you lose the drive to keep showing up with excitement."
I'm not dating, but I'll tell you what I have: "interview fatigue!"
Me: so tell me about yourself
Candidate: blah, blah, blah my 1st internship, then blah blah, blah I joined and blah blah blah I did, and then blah blah blah I moved to, and now blah blah blah
I've heard career stories for too long that boring ones no longer hold my attention.
Recruiting is about screening executives.
Swipe left, swipe left, swipe right.
My job is to find and present the people with the best skills.
Finding great profiles is half the job.
Next, they have to meet the client and win them. When you interview for luxury brands, it's like being interviewed by Bernard Arnault or Muccia Prada; you better be prepared.
And that's where the frustration begins: meeting competent talent who aren't good at speaking about themselves.
Yet the biggest frustration is for the candidate who knows she can do the job and wants it but doesn't get hired.
You wouldn't show up at an exam thinking you can wing it. Right?
Even if it's your story, learning a few techniques makes a huge difference if you want to get hired.
Writing a mini script to share your achievements is a must!
I want every candidate to know they can get the job they deserve.
That's why I teach those tools.
And then (see the screenshot below), this happens
She captivated the CEO.
BTW newsletter fatigue, anyone?
Rest assured, next week I'll share a surprise I've been plotting for you!
You'll need to fasten your seat belt. Enjoy the weekend!
