Welcome to working in Zero Gravity Guideline #3.
If you missed the previous newsletters, here are the links: What is working in Zero Gravity all about?
Guideline 1: aiming for the moon and
Guideline 2: embracing a lighter fuel.
Today, I want to share the final guideline that has been a game-changer for me—you know by now that I'm my favorite guinea pig—and my clients.
Just like a spaceship must detach its heavy fuel tank to reach orbit, we all reach a point where letting go becomes inevitable.
I've interviewed too many candidates who admit they stayed at a job or a company for too long.
How long is too long?
They usually respond they start feeling exhausted, irrelevant, or fearful that they'll never find a better role.
So what do we let go of:
The exact belief that triggers your fears.
Something that helped you get to where you are but prevents you from continuing your journey.
For example, I often hear in interviews:
"Finding a job is difficult because... - there are very few jobs at my level,
- I am over 50,
- I don't have enough experience, etc."
None of those beliefs are helpful for a job search.
- You only need one job.
- a 60+ client was hired as a Marketing executive.
- Companies want to hire fast learners.
For one of my clients, letting go of her tank meant saying no to a job offer that was not aligned with her 10-year goal despite the very appealing title and compensation.
A few months later, the dream job appeared!
For me, it was realizing that my competitive and resilient energy, which had once allowed me to thrive, eventually went into overdrive and led to burnout.
So, I decided to retire that overproductive energy.
She's fighting back. No surprises here!
So, for this third "zero-gravity" guideline, letting go of old beliefs creates space for the path to magically appear.
Indiana Jones was anearly manifestor!
The combination of the 3 guidelines I shared with you was a game-changer for my work.
Soon, I experienced my most financially and professionally rewarding year. What felt even better was that it felt so easy.
Finally, I felt the lightness of being I was longing for!
It's not a formula but an art that I am excited to continue learning.
The art of clearing the path for our own cosmic journeys.
And who knows? You might just surprise yourself with how far you can fly.
To the moon and beyond,
Agate
